POLYESTER MESH

Polyester Mesh for surgical and medical device applications. Our Polyester Knitted Mesh (PETKM) fabrics are comprised of multifilament or monofilament yarns. The multifilament mesh fabrics have a soft hand, while the monofilament mesh fabrics have a crisper hand with high resiliency. The polyester mesh fabrics are used in medical device applications, such as surgical mesh, breast support, wound dressing, molded silicone reinforcement, catheter anchoring and pacemaker lead stabilizers. The PETKM fabrics are also used to reinforce our L-Mesh™ composite mesh.
The PETKM family of fabrics offered have pore sizes from about 0.3 mm to 2.0 mm and range in weight from about 14 to 163 gsm. We vary the yarn size and type to adjust the mesh weight, strength properties, hand and compliance.
We have a line of PETKM fabrics available for immediate delivery. PETKM fabrics are 34 cm wide and offered in convenient roll lengths.
Review the Processing Considerations for our mesh fabrics.
POLYESTER MESH FABRICS MAY BE STERILIZED USING AN APPROVED METHOD, SUCH AS ETHYLENE OXIDE (EtO), GAMMA IRRADIATION OR STEAM AUTOCLAVE.
MESH FABRICS CONVERTED INTO FINISHED MEDICAL DEVICES MUST UNDERGO A FINAL CLEANING STEP THROUGH A CUSTOMER APPROVED PROCESS.
ISO-10993 Biocompatibility results for Polyester Mesh are available to our customers upon request.
